He's the Director of Operations for Cisco Systems, based out of Irvine, CA; he's my guest Gregory Lynch. It's taken almost a year for Gregory and I to align our calendars which makes this interview all the more enjoyable; he's a very busy man, but he takes the time to give us an update on the $440 million division he runs for the company.

Of course locally, Cisco acquired Linksys about 3 years ago. Today both Linksys and Cisco are growing substantially. Gregory describes "double digit growth in all divisions of the company". Lety's hope, and it's easy to imagine, that Cisco is a leading indicator of an uptick in the US economy.

With products like the Next Generation Network they'll continue to be a market leader. The network will make dicisions as to where information gets processed and we won't care; with security built-in from the silicon up.
