Kevin Scanlon, connecting with students
Kevin Scanlon, he's a member of the Pasadena Angels and the Tech Coast Angels. His specialty, the life sciences and biotech. I interviewed Kevin today at the Los Angeles County Business Technology Center in Altadena; it's where the Pasadena Angels hold their meetings; think of the LABTC as an incubator for high tech startups.
Kevin will have his own full length podcast in just a few weeks, but I couldn't resist giving you a sample.

Just wanted to provide some feedback on your video podcast. The content was great, and the video & sound quality quite excellent. (It may be a misperception on my part, but the audio quality seemed to be higher than the pure audio podcasts.)
Only suggestion is that you adopt a different camera angle that includes yourself in the picture. The framing of the guest's face (basically he fully filled the frame) was a little disconcerting.
Given that you don't have the time and resources to do multi-angle shooting & editing, a one camera shoot with a wider perspective should suffice. The approach that the diggnation podcast takes is a good example - although you probably don't want to emulate the beer drinking, at least on-camera.

Nice touch and solid interview. Kevin is fun to be around for his enthusiasm. Brings a lot to TCA.

Thanks, you couldn't have scripted it better. More than talking with students, I think we would find that the presence of the students would have us talking to one another. When I'm in a room with you (all) I get the feeling that there is a truckload of answers waiting for the propitious question. Nothing but good can come of this.
