John's a member of the Tech Coast Angels. In just 3 years he's invested in 17 startups, led 5 deals and got 4 of them funded. He's a role model for many within the organization; he knows how to groom a deal and sell it to the membership. How did he learn to package deals? He spent many years in strategy consulting at Booz Allen then several years leading deals at defense contractor Raytheon. The strategy? To use other people's money to commercialize Raytheon's technology.
For the past 2 years John has organized Fast Pitch in Orange County. Last year 2 out of 3 Fast Pitch finalists got funded, so the process works.

Hello Mr. Peters,
by chance when I was searching for ways of funding my startup. And now I am hooked up on your show, listening it in car and on ipod. I live in Croatia and just recently our economy have been introduced to VC funds.
Keep up this good work and keep inviting these interesting guests with great knowledge to share.
Regards,
Albin Jurkovic

As per your request on a recent show... I am a new listener from the other side of the world and thought I should let you know.
I have invested and worked for a couple of Australian early stage technology companies, one that I took to the US back in 2000 and subsequently lived in Denver for two lovely years. I am now back in Aus working for a mammoth size company. I will inevitably get back into the environment I am passionate about: very early stage companies.
I enjoy the style you have created for your show, it is low key, informative and has that underlying excitement as you set the stage for each interview. Your show keeps reminding me to get back to where I belong. Well done!
All the Best,
Rob
